Culture is important, history is important. This Indian wedding in Wellington was a celebration of both. As wedding photographers, our job is to not only photograph the emotions and the beauty of the day but to capture history in the making. The start of a new family, a new story and of cultures coming together.
Kryisa and Jamin are both down to earth and two totally chilled out peeps. So the time we spent with them was a blast. There was never any urgency, any rush. Just the desire to live every moment fully through the hugs, tears, and gratitude.
All day, we were humbled by the fact that we were there to be a participant in their story. We were chosen to document it all for them. With this realization and the warmth with which they welcomed us, we felt we were part of the family.
The wedding was at the Ohariu farm – and the setting could not have been more perfect. They had both the Hindu and Kiwi wedding ceremonies where culture and their personal histories played a large role.
We concluded their day by capturing some belly-laugh inducing speeches, dance floor fun and big hugs.
Here are some moments from this Indian wedding in Wellington.
