Engagement Photos in Tuscany

Tuscany has a way of making you fall in love. The rolling sleepy hills and the golden light, the sweet smell in the air and the intoxicating long summer evenings. Tuscany is a perfect backdrop for an engagement adventure. For the longest time, mostly planning our adventures in the mountains of Southern Alps and beaches of Australia our little adventurous hearts were dreaming big. Dreaming of planning and creating for two humans in love –
engagement photos in Tuscany.

When Jacquline and Jeff got in touch to plan an adventure for them in a location that we think will be perfect for their love story – we were hooked. After speaking to Jacquline and seeing her love for gorgeous vistas and experiencing her warm smile we suggested an Italian adventure session. An adventure that starts in with engagement photos in Tuscany and ends with a stunning adventure in the Dolomites.

We worked tirelessly for months to create routes, different ideas, and itineraries for these two and were eagerly waiting to finally meet with them in another hemisphere. We reached Europe a week before their adventure and drove around the Dolomites and Tuscany
making sure that everything was planned out and perfect for these two.

A week leading up to the morning of meeting Jacquline and Jeff we were keeping our fingers crossed for that perfect sunrise glow to kick off their adventure with us. But with Ben being sick and us both being sleep deprived plus excited the night before was both too long and too short at the same time. We awoke with heavy eyelids but happy hearts, the sky was clear and we were going to meet the two love birds who had flown from HongKong for this adventure face to face for the first time. Eeeep

What followed was a beautiful sunrise and road trip around Tuscany.
We walked and talked in the cobbled streets, bonded over food, danced in the evening winds and took a ton of photos.

But let’s go back to the beginning again – sunrise at the Vitaleta Chapel.

Okay so after watching the sunrise at the Vitaleta Chapel we had planned a stroll in the cobbled streets of a romantic town in Tuscany. It was just before the town had woken up and it was us, a couple of cleaners and some sleepy-eyed Italians setting a perfect scene for adventuring in
hush tones in this gorgeous town.

The temperatures after we stopped for breakfast were soaring high. It was around 35 degrees Celsius and it wasn’t even midday yet! So we decided to go back to our AirBnBs for a little nap. But then we found these gorgeous hay bales and just had to stop.

We mean, c’mon!

One satisfying siesta later, recharged we carried on our adventure through romantic Tuscany.

Abbey of San Galgano is located in the beautiful Val de Merse and we were all so in love. The abbey that is now without a roof was built around 1218 and 1288 was the first gothic church built in Tuscany. Jeff and Jacqueline looked like they totally belonged in such a grand place.
The sunlight streaming through the open windows made it all the more magical.

Jacquline and Jeff, thank you for having us plan and photograph this gorgeous adventure for you – these engagement photos in Tuscany will always have a special place in our hearts. We cannot wait to showcase your Dolomites adventure soon!
